Masked Denial

Masked denial was originally an eleven minute short film that was cut down into a three minute character study showing the life of a man who contracts covid and loses his sense of taste, but remains in denial about his symptoms.

Original Concept

Chefs Delusion

This original film showed an egotistical young chef who was recently admitted into a culinary school. He shows his passion through cooking but when he ends up getting covid and losing his sense of taste his life around him begins to crumble.

The reason we strayed away from this cut of the project was it became too complicated and convoluted with too many objects meant to be metaphorical symbols and not enough shots showing what we wanted the intention of the project to be.
